    February 10

    Yahoooooo!!!!!!!

If the title indicates that i am in a jovial mood trying to shout from a roof top....sorry!!!! the title is for some serious blog bashing to one of the most widely used www.yahoo.com

Let me put this up chronologically..........

    8th Februray 2006
I acces my yahoo atleast 3 times a day. No problem everything is working fine......

    9th Februray 2006
    0930 hrs
I access my yahoo account for the first time....it dispalys a message saying "Temporarily unavailable". I leave it to heal itself.

    1200 hrs
Again displays the same message, and it asks me to relogin/refresh the page to solve the problem. I do it umpteenth number of times :(. I lose my cool (which being a S/W engineer i wonder if i have) and click on their "Send Us a report" link. I have provided an alternate e-mail id just incase the link works and the customer care feels like talking to me (High expectations...huh!!!!!)

    Around 1500 hrs -
I get a mail on my alternate id. I say Yahoooo!!! (this time the word means what its supposed to).
The first solution they tell me is that "Temporarily Unavailable" is a transient kind of message and usually disappears on refreshing/re logging in.....(&*^&$!^@*&@%^ ...    so much of advise on something that has already been displayed on the stupid "Temporarily Unavailabe" page).
Next they tell me if the first solution doesnt work, send a reply to the mail stating the approximate date and time of my last successful login into yahoo. They also tell me that if i cant give them the required info they can reset my yahoo mail account with the only 'side effect' being that all information associated with the account will be lost. (Hellllllllooo!!!! u call that a side effect ...i call it effect , its got absoultely no 'sides'). Anyways, i  did send them a reply with a note of appreciation saying i didnt expect a "Functioning Customer Care" unit taking care of the customer....

    10th February 2006
The much appreciated "Functioning Customer Care" hasnt replied yet and now mails cannot be sent to my account (sigh!!!!!!!!!)

Today being a friday I give the Yahoo team the "Benefit Of Weekend"...lets see what happens by Monday....

    I'll keep u posted ;)
