I sometimes wonder what would have happened if in the movie Sholay Jaya bachhan would have fallen for Dharmendra rather than Amitabh......Assuming this plot, sholay would have proceeded like this .

Amitabh on realizing that Jaya loves Dharmendra would get angry on his 'dost' in particular and the unfair world in general and would have joined Gabbar's gang ;) Dharmendra being a good friend would try reason out things but then the angry young man would not listen. Now apna Dharam pajji is in a fix! The end of the movie would be something like this-

Place: The same hills where gabbar stays.

 Scene: End of the movie

 Veeru(Dharam) is fighting all the villains courageously. They come ony by one and try to kill our immortal Veeru. He ends up Killing all of them until Gabbar catches hold of Basanti. Now Veeru cannot do anything. As Gabbar is about to shoot Veeru , apna Jai shoots him and poor Gabbar collapses wondering what happened. Veeru is happy that his friend realized his mistake, as he is about to hug him, Jai shouts, " Yeh mat sochana maine tumhe bachaya. Main tumhe apne haathon se marna chahta tha". Saying so he shoots Veeru but Lo! Jaya(I dont rem her name  ) comes in between and the bullet kills her. Seeing his lady love killed Jai kills himself. Veeru is all lost but Basanti comes near him as do the other people(Thakur and the villagers...god knows from where).

Finally its only Veeru and Basanti left....

Man!!! i could actually give teh sippy's the script to recreate it...what say folks?
